Bloons Insanity Review

Bloons Insanity with its 50 levels is once again a great game in the series. The games host is once again a little brown monkey with his darts that he aims and throws at the bunched balloon targets in order to pop them allowing you to move along to the next level. You can choose whether to play in unlimited dart mode or with just the given amount per level but if you don't use all your quota of darts they cannot be carried forward onto the next level. This game, it has to be said is one of the harder to play but for avid followers of bloons it will be a welcome challenge

Bloons Insanity is very colourful with a range of different graphics that will keep you amused and enthralled for hours. It has a new type of balloon that is released after the darts pierce through a series of bloons then you have only one remaining dart to pop that bloon before it disappears off the screen so speed is of the essence! If you don't pop this balloon you won't achieve your target and therefore you won't be able to move on. Quite a few of the levels begin with high arc shots that once mastered are relatively easy to fire while the ice bloon and pin bloons also feature again.

As in previous games the rubber bricks are very evident which are useful for bouncing your darts off to get to hit even more bloons. Your monkey sometimes hits a bloon that will set off a chain reaction popping even more bloons along the way plus at times more darts are released as a bonus which makes it easier to reach the levels target. There are varying numbers of bloons to pop on each level some have as few as six while others can have as many as fifty or sixty.

Pac Man also makes an appearance once again eating through the bloons along with the boomerang bloon that flies through the air eliminating bloons in large numbers. It's certainly a game of skill and determination is this one, so is not for the faint hearted. Fans of this genre will not be disappointed with the variety and detail that is contained in Bloons Insanity. Let's just hope the title does not become reality as you fight your way through this challenging game.
