As with all sequels this game is bigger better and slicker than the previous ones in this series. It has a new track plus there are new weapons and features that will keep you enthralled for hours. As with previous games the aim is to pop the endless barrage of bloons that career down pathways with your weapons, so reaching the end of the game. Of course with the tower defence games you are required to erect your towers along the pathways to stop the bloons in their tracks so that they don't reach the end of the track consequently lives won't be lost.
Every time you pop a bloon you earn money which can be used to buy more towers or upgrades giving each tower its own strengths. The incredible choice of tracks include:
Some of these features require mochi coins usually around the 1200 mark, while some players may find this an annoyance, but the game is playable and just as enjoyable without ever using the payable aspects.
There are some familiar features such as the dart monkey, the tack tower, super monkey and boomerang monkey to name but a few, all of which have been much improved. There are two great new features, the air and water defences. Place one of your ace monkeys strategically so it will zoom around the battlefield looping in a figure 8 shape dropping pineapple bombs and shooting everything in sight. Failing that the monkey buccaneer ship is great, just place it in the water near the path so it will defend the area, while the banana plantation, (yes you read it right) can be dropped giving you more money and much needed food for the foot soldiers.
There are many premium upgrades including Frag bombs, Exploding darts, Crystal balls, Double cash, Healthy bananas, Digital amplification, Double ranga, Dreadnaught and buy everything. There are also two levels of difficulty within each track making this game far more challenging, plus when you reach level 26 you will find a sand box feature that will give you limitless money and lives letting you set the rate of release plus which bloons attack you. Another interesting one is on level 31; this is Apocalypse mode where an endless barrage of bloons will attack you until all your lives are gone.
The graphics on Tower defence 4 are superb and you can see that a lot of effort has gone into improving the features and game play of this game. The angle of the camera has been altered so the monkey towers track and bloons are further away which makes all seem more defined plus more interesting to look at. This tower defence game is utterly enthralling and comes highly recommended for new plus old fans of bloons alike.
Why not try bloons tower defence 4 and see if you can overcome all the tracks and difficulty levels.
